Forgive us wonderful world

Forgive Us, Wonderful World

Dear World,

You are full of wonder — oceans that breathe, skies that stretch endlessly, trees that whisper secrets older than time. You have given us sunsets to calm our storms and stars to guide our way.

And yet, we have forgotten.

We rushed past your beauty.
We polluted your waters, wounded your lands, and silenced your creatures.
We chose greed over gratitude, and noise over stillness.
We hurt one another under your watchful sky.

Forgive us, wonderful world,
For taking so much, and giving so little.
For seeing your gifts as endless, and your patience as permanent.
For not listening when you cried through storms, burned through forests, or dried up your rivers.

But we are waking up.

We are learning to care again, to protect what remains, and to heal what we’ve broken.
We are learning that to love the world is to love life itself.
To walk gently. To give back. To be better.

May this forgiveness be the start of a new promise:
To cherish you.
To honor you.
To never again forget that you are not just our home — you are our responsibility.

With humility and hope,
All of us who still believe in your beauty
