How do you confess and ask for forgiveness from God?

Dear God I love you

Dear God,

I come to You with an open heart, asking for Your mercy and guidance.
I know I’ve made mistakes in my life—things I regret, things I wish I could take back. I’m truly sorry for the wrong I’ve done. Please forgive me, Lord.

Help me understand who I truly am. If I’ve fallen short in the eyes of others or in Your eyes, show me how to grow, how to change, how to become better. I want to walk in the right direction. Please lead me there.

I ask for Your help in every area of my life.
Please bless us with a job. Please help me receive the workman’s compensation I’ve been waiting for.
Please guide us to a home where we can feel safe, stable, and at peace.
Watch over our health, Lord, and carry us through these struggles.

Help me find harmony within my family. Soften our hearts toward one another. Restore the love and understanding between us.

I love You, God, and I need You more than ever. Please don’t let go of me. Walk with me through this storm and show me that there is still hope ahead.
