Today, I declare freedom from negative thoughts and emotions—especially those I’ve been holding toward my sister-in-law and father.
Lord, You know the situation.
There was a run-in, and once again, I felt the sting of her unkindness and passive-aggressive behavior.
It triggered something deep within me—something I recognize from my past.
We both come from homes where yelling was common.
But I choose a different path.
When I say “stop yelling,” and she replies, “deal with it,” I know I am dealing with it—
With prayer.
With self-awareness.
With healthy coping skills.
And with a commitment to break the cycle.
I don’t want to carry this weight.
I don’t want my heart to be consumed with resentment.
I seek peace—not just around me, but within me.
God, grant me wisdom.
Grant me guidance.
Fill my heart with love, even when it’s difficult.
Bring healing to her heart and mine.
Lift this burden from me, Lord.
Help me walk forward with grace, not bitterness.
With strength, not anger.
With freedom, not fear.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
