self forgiveness and love
A Prayer of Self-Forgiveness and Awakening
Today, I choose to begin again—with grace, with truth, and with love.
I open my heart to forgiveness—especially toward myself—for all the ways I have hurt, hidden, or harmed the person I was created to be.
I forgive myself for the self-destructive choices I’ve made…
For the self-hatred I’ve carried…
For the moments I centered only on my own pain and missed the needs of others…
For the self-indulgent distractions, the self-deprecating thoughts, and every action that came from a place of fear, shame, or brokenness.
I now begin to see—and believe in—the power, beauty, and light that You, God, placed in me from the very beginning.
I am not my past. I am not my mistakes.
I am becoming who I was always meant to be.
I humbly ask for forgiveness from anyone I may have hurt—through words, silence, distance, or misunderstanding.
May healing flow where there has been pain.
And may love rise where there was once resentment or confusion.
I also pray that others—like me—will come to see their own magnificence and worth, free from the lies of shame or doubt.
May the day come when we all walk in the light of our true selves, with compassion, courage, and freedom.
And may I never forget: I am not alone. I am still growing. And I am still worthy of love.
Amen.
