my confession I only ask that

Forgive me, Father, for I have sinned. It has been sixteen years since my last confession, and during that time I have carried many sins, mistakes, and regrets in my heart. I come before God with humility, asking for mercy, guidance, and the strength to truly repent.

I know that I have fallen in many ways. I have struggled with lust, wrath, envy, selfishness, pride, and weakness. I have not always lived with love, patience, kindness, or faith. I ask the Lord to help me turn away from these sins and return to a life of honesty, forgiveness, and grace.

Please help me seek a clean heart, a renewed spirit, and the courage to change my ways. May God’s mercy lead me toward peace, repentance, and a better path.

Praise be to the Lord.

How to Write a Confession When You Feel Guilty

When you feel guilty, writing a confession can help you release what you have been carrying inside. It gives you a quiet space to be honest with God and ask for grace.

1. Start with your true feelings

Write what is in your heart. You can say, “God, I feel ashamed," “I feel sorry," or “I need Your mercy."

2. Take responsibility

Do not blame others or hide behind excuses. A sincere confession accepts what went wrong.

3. Ask for forgiveness

Use humble words to ask God to forgive you and cleanse your heart.

4. Pray for a new path

Close by asking for wisdom, self-control, courage, and the strength to make better choices.
