Comfort those grieving a loss.
Dear God,
I come to you today with a heavy heart, thinking of all those who are grieving a loss. I know that you are the ultimate source of comfort and peace, and I pray that you would wrap your loving arms around those who are hurting.
Lord, be near to those who are mourning the loss of a loved one. Bring them the strength and hope they need to face each day. Help them to feel your presence and to know that they are not alone in their pain.
I pray that you would bring healing to their broken hearts and give them the courage to continue on in the face of their grief. Show them your love and mercy, and guide them through this difficult time.
May they find solace in your promises and take comfort in the knowledge that their loved one is now in your loving embrace. Help them to trust in your plan, even when it is hard to understand.
I ask all these things in your holy and precious name. Amen.
