Every time I open up the Bible

Unfaithful in a relationship

I confess that I have been unfaithful in my relationship.

I have betrayed the trust of the person I love and I am filled with guilt and remorse. I know that what I did was wrong and I am truly sorry for the pain and hurt that I have caused.

I take full responsibility for my actions and understand if my partner no longer wants to be with me. I will do whatever it takes to make amends and regain their trust, but I know that forgiveness may not be possible.

I just hope they can find it in their heart to forgive me and give me another chance to prove that I am capable of being the partner they deserve.

How to Write a Confession When You Feel Guilty

When you feel guilty, writing a confession can help you release what you have been carrying inside. It gives you a quiet space to be honest with God and ask for grace.

1. Start with your true feelings

Write what is in your heart. You can say, “God, I feel ashamed," “I feel sorry," or “I need Your mercy."

2. Take responsibility

Do not blame others or hide behind excuses. A sincere confession accepts what went wrong.

3. Ask for forgiveness

Use humble words to ask God to forgive you and cleanse your heart.

4. Pray for a new path

Close by asking for wisdom, self-control, courage, and the strength to make better choices.
