I Am Sorry, God

I am sorry for the things I have done wrong. I know I have made mistakes, and I do not want to hide them from You. You know my heart, my thoughts, and everything I am going through.

Please forgive me. Help me let go of the guilt I feel and teach me how to do better. I want to make better choices and live in a way that brings peace to my heart.

I need Your help because I cannot do everything alone. Please guide me, give me strength, and help me become a better person.

Thank You for listening to me and for loving me even when I fall.

Tips for Writing a Confession Prayer

A confession prayer is a personal way to speak to God about guilt, mistakes, weakness, and the desire to be forgiven. It can be short or long, but it should come from a sincere heart.

1. Speak directly to God

Begin with “Dear God," “Heavenly Father," or “Lord Jesus." Use words that feel natural to you.

2. Admit your mistakes

Be clear that you are sorry. You can mention the areas where you feel you have fallen short.

3. Show a desire to change

Confession is not only about regret. It is also about wanting to grow, turn away from sin, and live better.

4. Ask for peace

End by asking God to give you peace, guidance, and strength to move forward.
